Draper Ph.D. Acceptances

Congratulations to all the Draperites who have been accepted to doctoral, juris doctorate, and MFA programs! We wish you all the best in your future studies. If you are a Draper student or graduate who would like to have your name and acceptances added to this list, please let us know.

Alexandra Blaszczuk (alumna 2010) will be enrolling in Columbia Law School's Juris Doctorate program in the fall.

Esther Hio-Tong Castillo was accepted to the doctoral program in Sociology at the CUNY Graduate Center, as well as both the Sociology and Urban Studies programs at Temple University. She will be joining Temple's Sociology program, with full funding.

Dasha Chapman (alumna, 2008) is attending the Performance Studies doctoral program at NYU, where she began in fall 2009.

Richard Evans (alumnus, 2008) is attending the doctoral program at the Institute for the Comparative Study of Literature, Art and Culture at Carleton University in Ottawa.

Yelitzaveta Goldfarb was accepted to the Comparative Literature doctoral program at Emory, where she will start in the fall.

Grant Hamming was accepted to Art History doctoral programs at Stanford and the University of Illinois. He will be starting at Stanford in the fall.

Jennifer Jordan (alumna, 2008) will be transferring from the Medieval European History doctoral program at the CUNY Graduate Center to the History doctoral program at SUNY Stony Brook, where she has been offered a teacher’s fellowship.

Omar Miranda will be starting in the English doctoral program at NYU this fall.

Travis Mushett was accepted to the doctoral program in Rhetoric and Culture at Northwestern, as well as the doctoral programs in Communications at the University of Minnesota, The New School and Columbia. He will start at Columbia in the fall.

Maria Jose Navia (alumna 2008) will be enrolling in the doctoral program in Spanish at Georgetown this fall, where she has received a full fellowship.

David Romine (alumnus, 2009) will be enrolling in the doctoral program for Latin American History at Duke University this fall.

Susan Rosenfeld (alumna, 2009) was accepted to doctoral programs in History at UCLA and Michigan State. Susan will be starting at UCLA this fall, where she will specialize in African History and was offered the program's only full funding package, along with additional funding from the UCLA International Center.

Lucia Staino-Daniels (alumna 2010) will be beginning the History doctoral program at UCLA this fall.

Eliane Sum (alumna, 2009) will be starting in the M.Litt program in Philosophy at the University of St. Andrew’s in Scotland this fall. Following the completion of the M.Litt, Eliane will be eligible to enroll in the Philosophy doctoral program.

Juan Torbidoni was accepted to the Comparative Literature program at Harvard, where he will begin this fall.

Christine Woody was accepted to the English program the University of Pennsylvania, where she will be starting in the fall.
