Media, Morality and the Middle East: A Conversation with Congressman Anthony Weiner
Kimmel 802
Thursday, April 28th 7:30 pm
Doors open at 7:00. RSVP required.

Come hear Anthony Weiner speak about the effect that the media's portrayal of Israel has on American legislation. Anthony Weiner, a New York Congressman whose district includes parts of Brooklyn and Queens has been an incredible friend to Israel since he won the election for the House seat in 1999. He has been a strong source of support for pro-Israel legislation, including the foreign aid bill and enforcing tougher sanctions on Iran. Anthony Weiner's experience as a fighter for the U.S. - Israel relationship will provide us insight to the effect that the media tends to have on American public sentiment toward Israel and therefore the legislation that is able to pass in Congress.

To register please send an email to annie.peck@nyu.edu with ANTHONY WEINER in the subject line. We hope to see you there!

This event is co-sponsored by the Selma Ruben Distinguished Lecture Series, Violets for Israel and the Bronfman Center for Jewish Student Life at NYU
