In a spirit of hope following the 2008 presidential election, artist Patrick Grenier (Draper Alumnus, 2004) created the site-specific "It's always darkest before the dawn," a 24/7 light installation which sought to "explor[e] those moments when we find ourselves literally and metaphorically moving away from our darkest hour."
